简介
Brk protein is a non-receptor tyrosine protein kinase that regulates signaling pathways critical for epithelial differentiation and tumor growth. Its context-dependent functions involve phosphorylating substrates such as RNA-binding proteins, transcription factors, and signaling molecules.Brk Protein, Mouse (sf9, His-GST) is the recombinant mouse-derived Brk protein, expressed by Sf9 insect cells , with N-His, N-GST labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Brk (breast tumor kinase) is a non-receptor protein tyrosine kinase that has garnered significant attention in cancer research due to its association with breast cancer and potentially other malignancies. Initially identified in breast tissue, Brk is overexpressed in various tumor types, suggesting its role in tumorigenesis and cancer progression. Its kinase activity, which modulates signaling pathways associated with cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival, positions Brk as a potential biomarker for cancer diagnosis and a therapeutic target. Research has shown that Brk can confer resistance to apoptosis and promote metastasis, making it a prominent focus for understanding the molecular mechanisms underpinning cancer biology. Despite the promising implications, the precise molecular mechanisms of Brk's action remain largely undefined, highlighting the need for detailed studies on its structure, function, and interactions with other cellular proteins. Consequently, the development of recombinant Brk protein has become crucial for elucidating its roles in signal transduction pathways and for evaluating its potential as a drug target. In summary, Brk is a pivotal player in the landscape of cancer research, with ongoing investigations aimed at leveraging its properties for improved cancer diagnostics and therapies.
