简介
VNN2/Vanin-2 Proteinas, an amidohydrolase, crucially hydrolyzes D-pantetheine's carboamide linkage, recycling pantothenic acid and releasing cysteamine. Apart from its vitamin metabolism role, VNN2 is involved in thymus homing of bone marrow cells and may regulate beta-2 integrin-mediated processes, influencing neutrophil adhesion, migration, and motility. VNN2/Vanin-2 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived VNN2/Vanin-2 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
VNN2, or Vanin-2, is a member of the Vanin family of proteins, which are known to be involved in various physiological and pathological processes. Historically, VNN2 has garnered interest due to its role in modulating immune responses, inflammation, and tissue repair. It acts as a pantetheinase, converting pantetheine into pantothenic acid and cysteamine, thereby influencing metabolic pathways. Studies have indicated that VNN2 is upregulated in several inflammatory conditions and tumor microenvironments, suggesting its potential role in cancer progression and immune regulation. Additionally, VNN2 has been implicated in neurodegenerative diseases, making it a focal point for understanding cellular stress responses and neuroinflammation. Recent research has focused on the development of VNN2 recombinant protein for elucidating its functional mechanisms and potential therapeutic applications. By employing recombinant DNA technology, scientists aim to produce large quantities of VNN2 for biochemical assays and structural studies, furthering our understanding of its biological functions and interactions. The significance of VNN2 in both normal physiology and disease pathogenesis highlights the importance of ongoing research into this protein's role in health and disease.
