  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

MMP-1, or Matrix Metalloproteinase-1, is an enzyme that plays a crucial role in the degradation of extracellular matrix components, particularly collagen, which is essential for tissue remodeling and repair. Over the years, MMP-1 has garnered significant attention in biomedical research due to its involvement in various pathological conditions, including arthritis, cancer metastasis, and cardiovascular diseases. The hyperactivity or dysregulation of MMP-1 activity has been linked to enhanced tissue degradation, contributing to disease progression. Consequently, the study of MMP-1 recombinant protein has become an important avenue for understanding its functional mechanisms and interactions within the extracellular matrix. Researchers have focused on designing recombinant forms of MMP-1 to investigate its enzymatic properties, regulatory mechanisms, and potential therapeutic applications. By employing techniques such as gene cloning and protein expression in heterologous systems, scientists aim to produce large quantities of functional MMP-1 for in vitro and in vivo studies. Furthermore, elucidating the role of MMP-1 in various biological processes not only enhances our understanding of its contribution to normal physiology but also opens up possibilities for targeted therapies that could mitigate the detrimental effects of its overactivity in diseases. Insights gained from this research could pave the way for developing novel inhibitors or modulators of MMP-1, thus offering hope for more effective treatments in conditions where MMP-1 is implicated. Through ongoing advancements in recombinant protein technology and molecular biology, the study of MMP-1 continues to hold significant promise for both basic science and clinical applications.
