  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

APOC2 (Apolipoprotein C-II) is a key protein involved in lipid metabolism and plays a crucial role in the regulation of triglyceride levels in plasma. It is primarily synthesized in the liver and is found as a component of chylomicrons and very low-density lipoproteins (VLDL). The study of APOC2 recombinant protein has gained significance due to its implications in cardiovascular diseases and metabolic disorders, particularly hypertriglyceridemia. Variants of the APOC2 gene have been associated with altered lipid profiles and increased risk of atherosclerosis. The recombinant production of APOC2 allows for detailed functional studies, including its interactions with other proteins and lipoproteins, as well as its impact on lipoprotein metabolism. Furthermore, understanding the structural and functional characteristics of APOC2 can contribute to the development of therapeutic strategies aimed at modulating lipid levels, ultimately reducing the incidence of associated diseases. Research on APOC2 recombinant protein thus not only enhances our understanding of lipid metabolism but also opens avenues for innovative treatments in managing dyslipidemia and improving cardiovascular health.
