  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Sirt6 is a member of the sirtuin family of proteins, which are known for their role in regulating cellular processes such as aging, metabolism, and stress response through NAD+-dependent deacetylation. Research surrounding Sirt6 has gained significant attention due to its potential implications in age-related diseases, including metabolic disorders and cancer. Studies have shown that Sirt6 plays a crucial role in maintaining genomic stability and regulating longevity by influencing various cellular pathways, including those involved in DNA repair, inflammation, and glucose metabolism. Furthermore, Sirt6 has been linked to the modulation of inflammatory responses and oxidative stress, making it a key player in the context of both aging and age-associated diseases. Investigating the recombinant expression of Sirt6 in various model systems allows researchers to elucidate its functional mechanisms and therapeutic potential. The generation of Sirt6 recombinant proteins facilitates in vitro studies that can further our understanding of its enzymatic activity and interactions with other cellular proteins. This research could pave the way for the development of novel strategies aimed at enhancing Sirt6 activity as a means of promoting healthspan and longevity, ultimately addressing the challenges posed by age-related decline and chronic diseases.
