简介
Lysozyme 2/LYZL2 Protein, with catalytic activity, hydrolyzes (1->4)-beta-linkages in peptidoglycan and between N-acetyl-D-glucosamine residues in chitodextrins. Its enzymatic properties involve cleaving these bonds, emphasizing its role in degrading bacterial cell walls and chitinous substances through lytic actions on these structural components. Lysozyme 2/LYZL2 Protein, Human (sf9, His) is the recombinant human-derived Lysozyme 2/LYZL2 protein, expressed by Sf9 insect cells , with C-His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Lysozyme 2 (LYZL2) is a member of the lysozyme family, which are enzymes known for their antibacterial properties attributed to their ability to hydrolyze bacterial cell wall peptidoglycans. LYZL2 is predominantly expressed in immune-related tissues, and its involvement in the innate immune response has made it a subject of interest in immunology and infectious disease research. Studies have suggested that LYZL2 exhibits antimicrobial activity and may play a role in the defense against microbial infections, particularly in mucosal surfaces. The recombinant production of LYZL2 protein allows for detailed characterization of its enzymatic properties, structural analysis, and potential therapeutic applications, such as the development of new antimicrobial agents. Furthermore, understanding the molecular mechanisms behind LYZL2's action can reveal its potential role in inflammatory diseases and cancer, thereby broadening its significance in biological research. Overall, LYZL2 serves as a promising candidate for further exploration in the fields of immunology and drug development, emphasizing the need for continued research into its functional capabilities.
