简介
PKC iota proteins are members of the calcium-dependent cell adhesion protein family and play critical roles in cellular interactions. PKC iota acts through a calcium-dependent mechanism and exhibits a preference for homogeneous interacting, connecting cells. PKC iota Protein, Human (Sf9, His) is the recombinant human-derived PKC iota, expressed by Sf9 insect cells, with C-His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PKC iota (Protein Kinase C iota) is a member of the protein kinase C (PKC) family, which plays a crucial role in various cellular processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival. Unlike other PKC isoforms, PKC iota is particularly involved in signaling pathways related to cancer progression and metastasis. Research has shown that PKC iota is often overexpressed in several types of cancers, including breast, prostate, and colorectal cancers, thus suggesting its potential as a therapeutic target. The understanding of PKC iota's structure and function is essential for developing targeted therapies. The recombinant production of PKC iota allows researchers to investigate its biochemical properties, identify substrate interactions, and explore its role in oncogenic signaling pathways. By studying the recombinant protein in vitro, scientists aim to dissect the mechanisms through which PKC iota contributes to tumorigenesis and to evaluate its potential as a biomarker for cancer diagnosis and prognosis. Ultimately, this research may pave the way for novel cancer treatments that effectively inhibit PKC iota activity, improving outcomes for patients with malignancies characterized by its dysregulation.
