简介
MKNK1 (MAP Kinase Interacting Serine/Threonine Kinase 1) plays a central role in coordinating cellular responses to environmental stress and cytokines. It exerts regulatory control over translation processes by phosphorylating EIF4E, enhancing its affinity for mRNA cap structures with 7-methylguanosine. This highlights MKNK1's crucial involvement in finely tuning translation machinery in response to diverse cellular stimuli. MKNK1 Protein, Human (sf9, GST) is the recombinant human-derived MKNK1 protein, expressed by sf9 insect cells , with N-GST labeled tag.

稳定性测试
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

保存条件 & 期限
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

运输条件
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
MKNK1, or MAP kinase-interacting kinase 1, is a serine/threonine kinase that plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways, particularly those related to stress responses and cell growth. Its function is primarily linked to the activation of the eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E (eIF4E), which is critical for the regulation of protein synthesis. Abnormal MKNK1 activity has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer, making it an attractive target for therapeutic intervention. Recent studies have demonstrated that MKNK1 can modulate key oncogenic processes, such as apoptosis, proliferation, and differentiation, highlighting its potential as a biomarker for tumor progression. The production of recombinant MKNK1 protein allows for detailed biochemical and structural studies, facilitating the understanding of its functional mechanisms and interactions with other signaling molecules. Additionally, recombinant forms of MKNK1 can serve as valuable tools for drug screening and the development of targeted therapies aimed at regulating its activity. As the understanding of MKNK1 expands, exploring its role in the tumor microenvironment and its contribution to resistance mechanisms in cancer treatment remains a key area of research, further underscoring the importance of this kinase in both basic biology and clinical applications.
