稳定性测试
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
保存条件 & 期限
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
运输条件
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
BD-2 (defensin beta-2) is a member of the defensin family, small cationic peptides that play crucial roles in the innate immune response. Discovered primarily within human epithelial tissues, BD-2 exhibits antimicrobial properties against a wide range of pathogens, including bacteria, fungi, and viruses, making it a vital component of the host defense system. Research into BD-2 has gained momentum due to its potential applications in therapeutic development, especially in combating antibiotic-resistant infections and enhancing wound healing. Studies have shown that BD-2 can be upregulated in response to inflammatory stimuli, indicating its role in modulating immune responses. Furthermore, its expression correlates with various diseases, including infections and inflammatory conditions, highlighting its significance as a biomarker. The recombinant expression of BD-2 allows for further investigation of its biological functions and properties, paving the way for potential clinical applications. Investigating the structure-function relationship of BD-2 aids in understanding how variations in its sequence affect its antimicrobial activity, stability, and interactions with microbial membranes. Overall, BD-2 research is at the forefront of immunology and therapeutic development, with the promise of yielding novel strategies for managing infectious and inflammatory diseases.
