简介
The PIM1 protein is a proto-oncogene with serine/threonine kinase activity that significantly promotes cell survival and proliferation, providing a selective advantage for tumorigenesis. It regulates MYC transcription, cell cycle progression, and inhibits pro-apoptotic proteins such as BAD, MAP3K5, and FOXO3 through phosphorylation. PIM1 Protein, Human is the recombinant human-derived PIM1 protein, expressed by E. coli , with tag free.

稳定性测试
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

保存条件 & 期限
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

运输条件
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PIM1 (Proviral Integration site for Moloney murine leukemia virus 1) is a serine/threonine kinase that plays a crucial role in various cellular processes, including cell survival, proliferation, and differentiation. Its dysregulation has been implicated in several types of cancer, particularly hematological malignancies, making it a significant target for therapeutic intervention. The interest in recombinant PIM1 protein arises from the need to understand its biochemical properties, structure-function relationship, and interaction with other proteins within signaling pathways. Researchers utilize recombinant PIM1 to investigate its kinase activity, substrate specificity, and downstream effects in cellular contexts, which can reveal potential mechanisms underlying tumorigenesis. Additionally, the production of recombinant PIM1 allows for the development of PIM1 inhibitors as potential anti-cancer drugs. As PIM1 is involved in cellular processes that are often hijacked by cancer cells, elucidating its role can provide insights into the molecular pathogenesis of tumors and pave the way for novel therapeutic strategies aimed at targeting PIM1. The successful expression and purification of recombinant PIM1 protein are thus essential for advancing our understanding of its biological functions and for the development of innovative cancer therapies.
