The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • 保存条件 & 期限

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • 运输条件

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

The research on MERTK (Mer Tyrosine Kinase), a member of the TAM receptor tyrosine kinase family, focuses on its critical role in regulating immune responses, particularly within the contexts of macrophage activation and resolution of inflammation. MERTK is primarily expressed in macrophages and plays a pivotal role in mediating the phagocytosis of apoptotic cells, thus contributing to tissue homeostasis and the prevention of autoimmune diseases. The receptor’s activation triggers various signaling pathways that promote immune tolerance and suppress pro-inflammatory responses. Recent studies have highlighted MERTK's potential as a therapeutic target in cancer, given its involvement in tumor microenvironment modulation and immune evasion by cancer cells. This has spurred interest in the development of recombinant proteins that can act as agonists or antagonists of MERTK, aiming to enhance anti-tumor immunity or mitigate excessive inflammation. The recombinant MERTK proteins are being engineered for better specificity, stability, and efficacy in therapeutic applications, pushing forward our understanding of immune regulation and the potential for treating a range of diseases including cancer, autoimmune disorders, and chronic inflammatory conditions. Understanding the structure-function relationship of MERTK through these recombinant proteins offers valuable insights into its biology and paves the way for innovative clinical interventions that harness the immune system more effectively.
