简介
The ABHD10 protein is an acylprotein thioesterase that hydrolyzes fatty acids from acylated residues in proteins. It regulates mitochondrial S-depalmitoylation of peroxiredoxin-5/PRDX5 and modulates mitochondrial antioxidant capacity. ABHD10 Protein, Human (sf9, His) is the recombinant human-derived ABHD10 protein, expressed by Sf9 insect cells , with N-His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ABHD10 (Alpha/beta hydrolase domain-containing protein 10) is a member of the alpha/beta hydrolase fold superfamily, which plays a significant role in various biological processes, including lipid metabolism, cellular signaling, and immune responses. Research into ABHD10 has gained traction due to its potential involvement in the regulation of endocannabinoid levels, particularly through the hydrolysis of bioactive lipids. It has been implicated in various physiological functions and pathological conditions, such as neurodegenerative diseases and metabolic disorders, thereby making it a target of interest for therapeutic interventions. The recombinant protein expression of ABHD10 allows for detailed biochemical characterization, providing insights into its enzymatic properties and substrate specificity. Additionally, the study of ABHD10’s structure-function relationship is crucial for understanding how alterations in its activity may contribute to disease mechanisms. Overall, the investigation of ABHD10 and its recombinant protein is pivotal for deciphering the molecular underpinnings of lipid signaling pathways and exploring novel avenues for drug development.
