Analytical Data

  • Gene name

    Kallikrein-10

  • 简介

Kallikrein-10 protein has a tumor suppressive effect, especially in breast and prostate cancer, by inhibiting NES1. This emphasizes its importance in mitigating tumorigenesis in these specific types of cancer. Kallikrein-10 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived Kallikrein-10 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-6*His labeled tag.

  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Kallikrein-10 (KLK10) is a member of the kallikrein-related peptidase family, which consists of serine proteases that play significant roles in various physiological and pathological processes, including tissue remodeling, inflammation, and cancer progression. Research has increasingly focused on KLK10 due to its potential implications in breast and prostate cancers, where its expression levels have been correlated with tumor progression and clinical outcomes. KLK10 is known to exhibit both tumor-suppressing and tumor-promoting activities, making it a target of interest for therapeutic strategies. Its involvement in the regulation of extracellular matrix components and cell signaling pathways further highlights its biological significance. The recombinant production of KLK10 protein provides a valuable tool for investigating its structure-function relationships, enzymatic activities, and interactions with other proteins, facilitating a deeper understanding of its role in cancer biology and potential clinical applications. This research could pave the way for developing novel diagnostic markers or therapeutic agents targeting KLK10 in cancer treatment, addressing both its dual roles as a biomarker and a potential therapeutic target. The ongoing characterization of KLK10's functions and mechanisms of action is essential to harness its full potential in translational medicine, driving advancements in personalized cancer therapies and improving patient outcomes.
