  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

TNC, or Tenascin-C, is an extracellular matrix protein that plays a crucial role in various biological processes, including cellular adhesion, proliferation, and differentiation. It is highly expressed during embryonic development and tissue repair but is often upregulated in pathological conditions such as cancer and chronic inflammation. The unique structural properties of TNC, which include varying isoforms and the presence of multiple domains, allow it to interact with a plethora of cellular receptors and matrix components, making it a key player in modulating the cellular microenvironment. Research into TNC's role in cancer metastasis, wound healing, and tissue regeneration has garnered significant attention, as understanding its mechanisms could reveal potential therapeutic targets. Furthermore, TNC has been implicated in neurogenesis and the progression of neurodegenerative diseases, highlighting its multifaceted involvement in both development and disease. Given its diverse functions and significance, TNC is a subject of ongoing investigation, aimed at elucidating its precise roles and interactions in various biological contexts, with an eye towards future applications in regenerative medicine and targeted therapies.
