Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PCSK6, or proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 6, is a member of the proprotein convertase family, which plays a crucial role in the post-translational processing of various precursor proteins, influencing a range of biological processes, including metabolism, cell signaling, and development. Recent studies have highlighted PCSK6's involvement in several pathological conditions, including obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases, making it a potential therapeutic target. Additionally, PCSK6 is known to activate other convertases and neuropeptides by cleaving inactive precursor forms, thereby regulating their biological activity. The research on recombinant PCSK6 protein focuses on its enzymatic activity, structure-function relationships, and interaction with specific substrates, aiming to elucidate its role in disease mechanisms. Producing recombinant PCSK6 allows for detailed studies on its properties and potential inhibitor development, thereby paving the way for novel therapies aimed at modulating its activity in disease contexts. As the understanding of PCSK6 expands, it not only contributes to basic scientific knowledge but also holds promise for innovative clinical applications in managing diseases linked to its dysregulation.
