  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

PLA2G7, also known as platelet-activating factor acetylhydrolase, is an important enzyme involved in lipid metabolism and inflammation processes. Its primary role is to hydrolyze platelet-activating factor (PAF) and other bioactive phospholipids, thereby modulating inflammatory responses and atherosclerosis development. Recent research has highlighted the association between PLA2G7 and various cardiovascular diseases, suggesting that it could serve as a potential biomarker for disease progression and therapeutic target. The recombinant protein of PLA2G7 has been the focus of studies aimed at understanding its structural and functional properties, providing insights into its catalytic mechanisms, and exploring its role in lipid-mediated signaling pathways. By producing and characterizing recombinant PLA2G7, researchers aim to elucidate its involvement in pathophysiological processes and develop targeted interventions for conditions such as cardiovascular disease and metabolic disorders. This research not only enhances our understanding of PLA2G7 but also paves the way for novel therapeutic strategies that could mitigate the impact of inflammation and related diseases on human health.
