Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ASCT2 (Alanine-Serine-Cysteine Transporter 2) is a key member of the solute carrier (SLC) family responsible for the transport of neutral amino acids across cellular membranes. Its significance lies in its role in maintaining amino acid homeostasis, which is crucial for various physiological processes, including protein synthesis, neurotransmission, and metabolic regulation. Dysregulation of ASCT2 has been implicated in several pathological conditions, including cancer, where it can contribute to tumor growth and survival by facilitating the uptake of essential amino acids. Given its potential as a therapeutic target, research into ASCT2 recombinant proteins has gained momentum, aiming to elucidate its transport mechanisms and substrate specificity. The production of recombinant ASCT2 proteins in suitable expression systems allows for detailed biochemical and biophysical characterization, enabling scientists to explore the structural aspects that govern its function. Additionally, understanding ASCT2’s interaction with small molecules and potential inhibitors can pave the way for the development of innovative strategies to modulate its activity in diseases. Overall, the study of ASCT2 recombinant proteins is an essential step towards understanding the role of amino acid transporters in health and disease, potentially leading to novel therapeutic interventions.
