  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

H2BC4, a member of the histone H2B family, has garnered attention in recent years due to its potential roles in chromatin structure and gene regulation. Histones, essential components of eukaryotic cells, play a pivotal role in organizing DNA into a compact, functional state, thereby influencing essential cellular processes such as transcription, replication, and repair. H2BC4, specifically, is implicated in various cellular functions beyond its structural role, including epigenetic modifications and the regulation of gene expression. Recent studies suggest that altered levels of H2BC4 may be associated with certain diseases, such as cancer, highlighting its potential as a biomarker and therapeutic target. The recombinant expression of H2BC4 in various systems enables researchers to investigate its functional roles and interactions in greater detail. By employing techniques such as X-ray crystallography and cryo-electron microscopy, scientists aim to elucidate the structural properties of H2BC4 and its complexes, thereby providing insights into how modifications of histones can affect gene regulation and chromatin dynamics. This research not only enhances our understanding of histone biology but also opens avenues for therapeutic interventions in diseases linked to histone dysfunction. Ultimately, investigating H2BC4 will contribute to the broader field of epigenetics and its implications in health and disease.
