  • Gene name

    ULBP1/RAET1I

  • 简介

The ULBP1/RAET1I protein is critical in the cytotoxicity of natural killer cells and can bind to and activate the KLRK1/NKG2D receptor. This mechanism highlights the importance of ULBP1/RAET1I in mediating cytotoxic responses. ULBP1/RAET1I Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived ULBP1/RAET1I protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-6*His labeled tag.

  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

ULBP1, also known as RAET1I, is a member of the UL16-binding protein (ULBP) family, which plays a crucial role in the immune response by interacting with NKG2D receptors on natural killer (NK) cells and certain T cells. These interactions are significant for the recognition and elimination of stressed, infected, or tumor cells. The study of ULBP1 is particularly pertinent given its role in cancer biology and the potential for therapeutic applications in immunotherapy. Research has shown that ULBP1 expression can be modulated in various tumors, influencing immune evasion and the tumor microenvironment. Understanding the structure and function of recombinant ULBP1 protein is important for exploring its biological activity and therapeutic potential. Recombinant ULBP1 can be used to investigate its signaling pathways, receptor interactions, and the resulting immune responses, which may lead to new strategies for enhancing anti-tumor immunity. Furthermore, the development of recombinant ULBP1 could facilitate the production of diagnostic and therapeutic agents, thus contributing to the advancement of immunotherapeutic approaches in cancer treatment. Overall, the exploration of ULBP1/RAET1I offers valuable insights into immune regulation and potential clinical applications in oncology.
