简介
Apolipoprotein E/APOE is essential for lipid transport and is integral to the production, transformation and clearance of plasma lipoproteins. It interacts with various particles to favor HDL and binds to receptors such as LDLR and VLDLR to promote cellular uptake.Apolipoprotein E/APOE Protein, Rat (His) is the recombinant rat-derived Apolipoprotein E/APOE protein, expressed by E.coli , with N-6*His labeled tag.

稳定性测试
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
保存条件 & 期限
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

运输条件
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Apolipoprotein E (APOE) is a crucial protein involved in lipid metabolism and is primarily produced by the liver and brain tissue. It plays a significant role in the transport and clearance of lipoproteins and cholesterol in the bloodstream, thus influencing a range of physiological processes. The APOE gene has three major alleles: ε2, ε3, and ε4, with the ε4 variant being strongly associated with an increased risk of Alzheimer's disease and cognitive decline. Given the implications of APOE in neurodegenerative conditions, researchers have been increasingly focused on the recombinant production of APOE proteins for studying their structure-function relationships and therapeutic potential. Recombinant APOE proteins enable detailed investigations into their roles in neuronal health, lipid binding, and interactions with receptors. These studies are pivotal for understanding the pathogenic mechanisms of diseases, developing potential treatments, and exploring biomarkers for early detection of disorders linked to APOE. Additionally, recombinant APOE can be utilized in drug delivery systems and as a target for designing novel therapeutic interventions, making it a significant focus in biomedical research and pharmacology.
