Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
LTC4S (leukotriene C4 synthase) is an important enzyme that plays a crucial role in the biosynthesis of leukotrienes, which are lipid mediators involved in various physiological and pathological processes, including inflammation, asthma, and allergic responses. The study of LTC4S is significant because elevated levels of leukotrienes are associated with several inflammatory diseases, making it a potential target for therapeutic intervention. Understanding the structure and function of LTC4S can provide insights into its enzymatic mechanism and regulatory pathways. In recent years, advancements in recombinant protein technology have enabled researchers to produce and purify large quantities of LTC4S, facilitating detailed biochemical and biophysical studies. This recombinant LTC4S allows for the exploration of its interaction with substrates and inhibitors, as well as its role in leukotriene signaling pathways. By elucidating the enzyme's structure and function, researchers aim to uncover novel therapeutic strategies to modulate its activity, potentially leading to new treatments for conditions like asthma and other inflammatory diseases. As such, the study of recombinant LTC4S holds promise for both basic research and clinical applications in improving our understanding of leukotriene-mediated processes in health and disease.
