Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PLP-C beta, a recombinant protein derived from the proteolipid protein (PLP) family, plays a significant role in the central nervous system, particularly in the formation and maintenance of myelin sheaths around neurons. Myelin is crucial for the efficient transmission of electrical signals in the nervous system, and any disruption in its formation can lead to neurological disorders such as multiple sclerosis. Research on PLP-C beta focuses on understanding its structural and functional properties, which can provide insights into myelin-related diseases. Several studies have indicated that variations in the expression levels and functional integrity of PLP proteins may influence the progression of demyelinating diseases, making PLP-C beta a potential target for therapeutic intervention. Additionally, the recombinant expression of PLP-C beta allows for the generation of specific antibodies that can be utilized in diagnostic assays, further advancing our knowledge of myelin biology and pathophysiology. As the scientific community continues to explore the implications of PLP-C beta in neurobiology, it opens avenues for developing novel treatment strategies aimed at myelin repair and regeneration, underscoring its importance in neuroscience research.
