  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Chymase, also known as CMA1 (Chymase 1), is a serine protease primarily expressed in mast cells and plays a crucial role in various physiological and pathological processes, including inflammation, tissue remodeling, and cardiovascular diseases. Its ability to cleave a wide range of substrates, such as peptide hormones, extracellular matrix proteins, and cytokines, underscores its significance in modulating immune responses and contributing to tissue homeostasis. Research on Chymase/CMA1 has gained traction due to its potential implications in several diseases, including asthma, atherosclerosis, and other allergic inflammatory conditions. Furthermore, the therapeutic targeting of Chymase has been explored as a promising strategy for managing these conditions. The development of recombinant Chymase/CMA1 proteins serves as a pivotal tool for understanding their biological functions and investigating their roles in disease mechanisms. These recombinant proteins facilitate enhanced studies in enzymatic activity, substrate specificity, and interaction with inhibitors, providing insights into their therapeutic potentials. Recent advances in recombinant DNA technology enable the production of high-yield, active Chymase proteins, paving the way for detailed structural and functional analyses. Consequently, the ongoing research aims to elucidate the multifaceted roles of Chymase/CMA1 in health and disease, ultimately striving to harness these insights for the development of novel therapeutic approaches targeting mast cell-derived chymase, which may offer new avenues for treating a variety of mast cell-related disorders.
