Analytical Data

  • Gene name

    Coagulation factor XIII B/F13B

  • 简介

Coagulation factor XIII B/F13B Proteinas, the B chain of factor XIII, lacks catalytic activity but stabilizes A subunits and regulates thrombin-initiated transglutaminase formation. Functioning as a tetramer with two A chains (F13A1) and two B chains (F13B), it structurally supports the factor XIII complex, emphasizing its regulatory role in blood coagulation, particularly in transglutaminase activation by thrombin. Coagulation factor XIII B/F13B Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived Coagulation factor XIII B/F13B protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Coagulation factor XIII B (F13B) is a crucial component of the coagulation cascade, playing a significant role in the stabilization of blood clots by cross-linking fibrin. Deficiencies or dysfunctions in factor XIII can lead to bleeding disorders, making it vital to explore therapeutic options for those affected. Recent advances in recombinant DNA technology have enabled the production of F13B as a recombinant protein, presenting an opportunity for safer and more effective treatments compared to traditional plasma-derived factors. This research focuses on the optimization of recombinant F13B production, purification, and characterization to ensure its efficacy and safety for clinical use. Additionally, studies are exploring the potential of F13B beyond its coagulation role, investigating its involvement in wound healing, tissue repair, and inflammation. The continuous refinement of recombinant protein technology holds promise for developing innovative therapies for bleeding disorders and enhancing our understanding of the multifaceted roles of coagulation factors in human health and disease. As research progresses, the insights gained may lead to new interventions that significantly improve the quality of life for individuals with clotting disorders.
