Gene name
LBP
-
简介
LBP proteins play a central role in the innate immune response by directly binding to the lipid A moiety of bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS). This interaction enhances CD14 affinity, promotes its binding to LPS, and promotes cytokine release in response to bacterial lipopolysaccharide. LBP Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived LBP protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-6*His labeled tag.
- Application
-
Biological Activity
Measured by its ability to enhance LPS-stimulated IL-8 secretion by THP 1 human acute monocytic leukemia cells. The ED50 for this effect is 0.4641-3.401 ng/mL. Measured by its ability to enhance LPS-stimulated IL-8 secretion by THP 1 human acute monocytic leukemia cells. The ED50 for this effect is 0.8044 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity is 1.243×106 U/mg.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.
