稳定性测试
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
保存条件 & 期限
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

运输条件
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Galectin-3, also known as LGALS3, is a member of the galectin family of proteins characterized by their ability to bind β-galactosides. It plays a crucial role in various biological processes, including cell adhesion, immune response modulation, and apoptosis. Research has increasingly focused on Galectin-3 due to its involvement in numerous pathological conditions, such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and fibrosis. Elevated levels of Galectin-3 have been associated with poor prognoses in various malignancies, highlighting its potential as a biomarker for cancer diagnosis and treatment. Additionally, Galectin-3 is implicated in the progression of heart failure and chronic diseases, making it a target for therapeutic interventions. The recombinant expression of LGALS3 enables detailed studies of its molecular functions and interactions, facilitating the exploration of its role in disease mechanisms and the development of Galectin-3 inhibitors for therapeutic applications. Thus, understanding the biological functions of recombinant Galectin-3 can provide insights into its potential as a biomarker and therapeutic target, which may lead to novel strategies for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
