Biological Activity
1. Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized Human BAI3(HY-P7675) at 2 μg/mL or 4 μg/mL (100 μL/well) can bind Biotinylated Human C1qTNF1. The ED50 for this effect is ≤10 µg/mL. 2. Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized Human BAI3(HY-P7675) at 4μg/mL (100μ l/well) can bind Human CTRP1. The ED50 for this effect is 2.897μg/mL. Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized Human BAI3 at 2 μg/mL (100 μL/well) can bind Biotinylated Human C1qTNF1, The ED50 for this effect is 1.533 µg/mL.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
C1QTNF1, also known as CTRP1, is a member of the C1q/TNF-related protein family, which plays a crucial role in various metabolic and physiological processes, particularly in energy homeostasis and inflammation. Research has indicated that CTRP1 is involved in modulating insulin sensitivity and adipogenesis, making it a potential target for addressing metabolic disorders such as obesity and type 2 diabetes. Its structure, characterized by a globular C1q domain and a helical region, enables it to participate in multiple signaling pathways, including those related to metabolic regulation. As a circulating adipokine, CTRP1 has been shown to have protective effects against cardiovascular diseases and to enhance the function of endothelial cells through its interaction with specific receptors. The interest in recombinant CTRP1 protein arises from its therapeutic potential; understanding its mechanisms of action could lead to novel treatment strategies for metabolic syndrome and related diseases. Moreover, investigating the biochemical properties and physiological functions of recombinant CTRP1 may provide insights into its role in systemic metabolism and contribute to the development of biomarker assays for clinical applications. This research highlights the significance of CTRP1 not only in metabolism but also in its potential implications in other physiological contexts, emphasizing the need for further studies to elucidate its full spectrum of biological activities and therapeutic possibilities.
