简介
The VSTM5 protein acts as a cell adhesion-like membrane protein in the central nervous system (CNS) and exerts a critical influence on the positioning and complexity of central neurons by regulating their membrane morphology and dynamics. It is actively involved in the formation of neuronal dendrites and protrusions, including dendritic filopodia, contributing to the complex structure of neural networks. VSTM5 Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived VSTM5 protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
VSTM5, or V-set and transmembrane domain-containing 5, is a member of the V-set immunoglobulin superfamily, which is primarily expressed in immune-related tissues. Recent studies have indicated that VSTM5 plays a critical role in modulating immune responses, particularly in the regulation of T cell activation and proliferation. The protein is thought to be involved in the homeostasis of immune cells, potentially influencing autoimmune diseases and other inflammatory conditions. Its expression pattern and functional significance have prompted researchers to investigate VSTM5 as a potential therapeutic target in immune-mediated disorders. The recombinant production of VSTM5 protein enables detailed studies of its structure-function relationship and interactions with other immune factors. By characterizing the recombinant VSTM5, researchers aim to elucidate its molecular mechanisms and explore its potential role in immunotherapy. Understanding the functionality of VSTM5 could lead to novel strategies for treating diseases that involve dysregulated immune responses, making it a focal point for biotechnology and pharmaceutical research.
