Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Apelin, a trend peptide initially discovered in 1998 as an endogenous ligand for the APJ receptor, has garnered significant interest due to its multifaceted roles in various physiological processes. This peptide is predominantly expressed in the brain, heart, and adipose tissue, where it is implicated in crucial functions such as cardiovascular regulation, fluid homeostasis, and energy metabolism. Research has shown that apelin influences the cardiovascular system by promoting vasodilation, enhancing cardiac contractility, and orchestrating angiogenesis. Additionally, apelin has been explored for potential therapeutic implications in conditions like obesity, diabetes, heart failure, and other metabolic disorders. The re-engineering of apelin into recombinant proteins facilitates the elucidation of its biological functions and therapeutic potential. Recent studies have aimed at understanding the structural properties and functional domains of apelin, paving the way for novel drug development and therapeutic strategies. As the significance of apelin in maintaining physiological homeostasis becomes clearer, ongoing research continues to explore its complex signaling pathways and interactions, signifying its potential as a promising target for innovative therapeutic interventions.
