  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Glypican-1 (GPC1) is a member of the glypican family of heparan sulfate proteoglycans that are attached to the cell membrane through a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) anchor. It plays a critical role in various cellular processes, including cell signaling, proliferation, and differentiation, by interacting with growth factors and modulating their activity. Recent studies have highlighted the importance of GPC1 in cancer biology, particularly in pancreatic cancer, where it has been implicated in tumor progression and metastasis. Elevated levels of GPC1 have been shown to correlate with poor prognosis, making it a potential biomarker for early diagnosis and a promising target for therapeutic interventions. Research into recombinant GPC1 proteins allows for a deeper understanding of its functional roles and interactions at the molecular level. By producing GPC1 in a recombinant form, scientists can study its structural properties, investigate its role in cell signaling pathways, and explore its potential as a drug target. Additionally, recombinant GPC1 proteins can be used in the development of novel diagnostic tools and therapies aimed at disrupting its function in tumor microenvironments, providing a pathway for innovative cancer treatment strategies. The continued exploration of GPC1's biological functions and its implications in various diseases underscores the significance of recombinant protein research in advancing medical science and improving patient outcomes.
