The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • 保存条件 & 期限

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • 运输条件

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Siglec-3, also known as CD33, is a sialic acid-binding immunoglobulin-like lectin predominantly expressed on the surface of myeloid cells, including monocytes and granulocytes. Its role in the immune system is significant, as it is involved in regulating cellular interactions and modulating immune responses. CD33 functions primarily as an inhibitory receptor, playing a crucial role in the negative regulation of immune activation. Elevated expression of CD33 has been associated with various hematological malignancies, particularly in acute myeloid leukemia (AML), where it serves as a potential therapeutic target. Research into recombinant CD33 proteins has gained momentum due to their potential utility in targeted therapies and drug delivery systems. By engineering CD33-based recombinant proteins, scientists aim to explore their ability to selectively bind to CD33-expressing cells, allowing for the development of novel immunotherapeutic approaches that can enhance the efficacy of existing treatments while minimizing side effects. Additionally, these studies aim to unravel the mechanistic insights behind CD33's role in immune modulation, and its involvement in tumor microenvironments. Overall, the investigation of Siglec-3/CD33 recombinant proteins holds promise in improving therapeutic strategies for cancer and other diseases linked to immune dysfunction, paving the way for innovative treatments that could lead to more effective patient outcomes.
