简介
The IL-15 protein is a cytokine that crucially shapes inflammatory and protective immune responses by regulating innate and adaptive immune cells. It stimulates the proliferation and activation of natural killer cells, T cells and B cells, and promotes the secretion of cytokines. IL-15 Protein, Mouse (Biotinylated, HEK293, Fc-Avi) is the recombinant mouse-derived IL-15 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-Avi, C-hFc labeled tag. The total length of IL-15 Protein, Mouse (Biotinylated, HEK293, Fc-Avi) is 114 a.a., with molecular weight of 50-60 kDa.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Interleukin-15 (IL-15) is a pivotal cytokine that plays a crucial role in the immune system, particularly in the proliferation and activation of natural killer (NK) cells and memory T cells. Research into recombinant IL-15 has gained significant attention due to its potential therapeutic applications in cancer treatment, infectious diseases, and immune deficiencies. Unlike IL-2, IL-15 does not induce lymphocyte apoptosis, allowing for prolonged cellular survival and enhanced immune responses. The ability to produce recombinant IL-15 has enabled scientists to explore its function in various immunotherapeutic strategies, such as enhancing anti-tumor immunity and boosting responses to vaccines. Additionally, studies have shown that IL-15 can enhance the efficacy of adoptive cell transfer therapies, making it a promising candidate for combination therapies aimed at improving patient outcomes. Advances in recombinant DNA technology have facilitated the generation of stable IL-15-producing cell lines and optimized production protocols, making large-scale production feasible. Ongoing research is focused on elucidating the mechanisms of IL-15 signaling, its interactions with other cytokines, and its role in different pathological contexts, which could pave the way for innovative treatments harnessing the power of this cytokine. Overall, the study of recombinant IL-15 is a dynamic field that holds great promise for enhancing immune responses in various therapeutic settings.
