简介
IL-13R alpha 2 Protein, functioning as a monomer, exhibits high-affinity binding exclusively to interleukin-13 (IL13) without interaction with interleukin-4 (IL4). This binding selectivity indicates a unique role and specificity for IL-13R alpha 2 in mediating cellular responses to IL13, emphasizing its importance in IL13-associated cellular processes. IL-13R alpha 2 Protein, Rhesus macaque (HEK293, His) is the recombinant Rhesus Macaque-derived IL-13R alpha 2 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag. The total length of IL-13R alpha 2 Protein, Rhesus macaque (HEK293, His) is 315 a.a., with molecular weight of 45-55 kDa.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
IL-13Rα2 (Interleukin-13 receptor alpha 2) is a receptor for interleukin-13 (IL-13), a cytokine implicated in various inflammatory and fibrotic diseases, as well as in tumor biology. The overexpression of IL-13Rα2 has been observed in several cancers, making it a potential target for therapeutic intervention. Unlike its counterpart IL-13Rα1, which participates in mediating IL-13 signaling leading to beneficial immune responses, IL-13Rα2 lacks a functional signaling domain and acts primarily as a decoy receptor, sequestering IL-13 and limiting its availability to IL-13Rα1. This paradoxical role urges the exploration of IL-13Rα2 as a biomarker for tumor progression and an attractive candidate for targeted therapies, including antibody-drug conjugates and adoptive cell therapies. Researchers have been developing recombinant forms of IL-13Rα2 to study its structure and function, as well as to explore its potential in diagnostic and therapeutic applications. These recombinant proteins enable investigations into binding affinities, receptor dimerization, and downstream signaling pathways, providing insights into how IL-13Rα2 modulates tumor microenvironments and influences immune responses. Understanding IL-13Rα2's role in both normal physiology and pathology is essential for harnessing its potential in clinical applications, thereby advancing cancer treatment strategies and improving patient outcomes.
