  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

CD38 is a multifunctional glycoprotein that plays a significant role in various physiological and pathological processes, including immune response, cell signaling, and calcium mobilization. It is predominantly expressed on the surface of immune cells, particularly lymphocytes, and is implicated in several diseases, such as cancer, autoimmune disorders, and chronic infections. The enzymatic activity of CD38, which includes NAD+ hydrolase and ADP-ribosyl cyclase functions, contributes to the generation of cyclic ADP-ribose, an important second messenger in calcium signaling. Given its critical roles, CD38 has emerged as a promising therapeutic target. The development of CD38 recombinant proteins facilitates the study of its structure, function, and interactions with ligands and inhibitors. Engineering CD38 into a recombinant form allows for a more detailed investigation of its biological activities, potential roles in cancer immunology, and the development of CD38-targeted therapies, such as monoclonal antibodies and small-molecule inhibitors. The ongoing research into CD38 recombinant proteins aims to harness their therapeutic potential while providing insights into the mechanisms underlying CD38-related pathologies. This line of research is crucial for advancing our understanding of immune regulation and developing novel treatments for diseases associated with CD38 dysregulation.
