Analytical Data

  • Gene name

    TIM-3/HAVCR2

  • 简介

T cell immunoglobulin mucin-3 is an inhibitory receptor, and inhibits T cell functions. TIM-3 regulates immune responses in autoimmunity and cancer. TIM-3 has multiple different ligands: galectin 9, phosphatidylserine (PtdSer), CEACAM1 and HMGB1. The TIM-3-ligand axis is critical in the pathogenesis of numerous conditions, including autoimmune diseases, infections, cancers, transplant rejection, and chronic inflammation[1][2][3][4][5]. TIM-3/HAVCR2 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived TIM-3/HAVCR2 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-6*His labeled tag.

  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

TIM-3 (T-cell immunoglobulin and mucin-domain containing-3), also known as HAVCR2, is a transmembrane protein that plays a crucial role in regulating immune responses, particularly in T-cell function and activation. It is predominantly expressed on exhausted T cells and various immune cells, and its interaction with ligands like galectin-9 has been implicated in promoting immune tolerance and inhibiting anti-tumor immunity. The study of TIM-3/HAVCR2 as a therapeutic target has gained significant attention in recent years, especially in the context of cancer immunotherapy, autoimmune diseases, and chronic infections. Dysregulation of TIM-3 expression is often associated with poor clinical outcomes in cancer patients, as tumor cells exploit this pathway to evade immune surveillance. Consequently, the development of TIM-3/HAVCR2 recombinant proteins for research and therapeutic applications aims to enhance our understanding of its biological mechanisms and potential as a checkpoint inhibitor. These studies may provide insights into combination therapies that invigorate the immune system, thereby improving the efficacy of existing cancer treatments. Through the exploration of TIM-3/HAVCR2 recombinant proteins, researchers aim to elucidate their roles in immune modulation and offer promising avenues for novel therapeutic strategies.
